Who should attend?

This course is designed for anyone who is interested in learning SketchUp software, whether they have minimal experience or no prior experience at all. 

Prerequisite

Participants should have basic computer skills, including proficiency in using a keyboard and mouse, navigating files and folders, and handling basic applications such as launching and closing programs. Additionally, learners should have a fundamental understanding of English, with the ability to listen, speak, read, and write in the language.

Certification

Technical Drawing with SketchUp is a SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) accredited program.

  1. Upon successful completion, learners will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) in Skills Framework aligned Industry & Generic Skills SOAs.
  2. Trainees who complete this course with  75% attendance will also be awarded an Authorized Certificate by Trimble.

This class is held in-person at our training center.

The course will be conducted in English.

Our classes typically have a maximum of 11 students, (max: 6 students for PCB Design with Altium Designer: Technical Drawing) ensuring that each student receives adequate attention and support from the instructor.

No, all necessary computers and software, including a software license, will be provided at the training center for you to use during the course.

We will provide all the necessary learning materials, including detailed course notes and a temporary software license, which you can use throughout the duration of the course. All other resources required for practical sessions will also be supplied.

Expected Outcome:

The learners will be able to interpret SketchUp technical drawings according to briefs in relations to symbols, standards and conventions within one’s field and region.

The learners will be able to create part lists for new design to facilitate technical drawing based on the types of technical drawing using SketchUp.

The learners will be able to apply the concepts of information technology (IT) to facilitate the usage of technical drawing software to produce drawings and specifications that conform to the requirements of relevant standards for submission.

The learners will be able to apply the different methods of technical drawing by instruments and computer-aided design (CAD) systems to produce 2D and 3D technical drawings and specifications based on input from stakeholders.

The learners will be able to apply the fundamentals of drafting design documentation to oversee the development and construction of new designs’ prototypes in collaboration with organisation’s production function
